Adult Groups

Live/Love/Lead Groups

The invitation of Jesus is to become his disciple and follow his way of life. At Hershey Free Church, we define it this way: A disciple is someone who lives with Jesus, loves like Jesus, and leads others to do the same. One way we live out our value of living, loving, and leading is to encourage you to be intentional with your personal relationship with God. Because we value doing life together, we encourage you to participate in a Live/Love/Lead Group. These groups are designed so that you get to know a small group of people really well. As you learn about each other and do life together, you begin to see God at work in your lives.

Twice a year, we have a Starter Live/Love/Lead Event where you’ll have the opportunity to meet new people and try the small group experience. Our next Starter Group Event will be Sunday, August 28 from 6 to 8 PM under the tent. If you'd like to get connected but can't make the event, let us know. Questions? Contact Deb Hinkel or Nik Schatz.

This is an inductive bible study. We are studying Kings and Prophets Series and Passing the Mantle. The cost for the books is $22.50. Register to attend.

Sunday connect groups

We know that attending a new place can be intimidating, and it is our strong desire to help you form connections and relationships at Hershey Free. Our Sunday Adult Connect Groups are a great place to start. These groups are a great way to begin to get to know a smaller group of people and study God's Word together. They are based on life stages and average 15 to 30 people. The classes meet during the 9 and 10:30 AM services, so it is possible to attend a group and a worship service on Sunday morning.

Women's Groups

Our Women's Ministries connect opportunities are designed to not only teach but also encourage and equip the women of our church to move out into their communities and make an impact for Christ. We want all women to know that they are a part of a community of believers. We want to walk with you, challenge you, and support you as God moves in your life and heart.

Spiritual disciplines are essential to a more vibrant spiritual life and knowing God more intimately. Join Kelly Minter in this 7-session Bible study as she unpacks the biblical foundation for these sacred habits along with approachable ways to practice disciplines like prayer, study, worship, rest, simplicity, generosity, celebration, and many more. Instead of being just one more thing on your to-do list, you’ll find that these habits of faith can actually create more margin in your life—providing peace and rest as you walk closer with Jesus. We are studying Encountering God by Kelly Minter. The cost for the book is $17. There is no childcare available.

Men's Groups

The purpose of Men’s Connect is to equip men to be Christ-centered leaders at home, work, church, and in their communities. We seek to provide ways for men to grow in their faith. We hope to encourage husbands, fathers, and sons as they walk their journey of faith.

Men’s Connect Kickoff Event | Sept. 9-10 | 7 PM | Auditorium

Did you know Hershey Free has a men’s ministry? Have you been interested in meeting other men on a similar journey of faith? We will be celebrating and kicking-off our fall groups with speakers, food, and time together. We want every man to be spurred on in their faith and aware of the men’s ministry opportunities offered. Senior Pastor, George Davis will be one of our speakers as well as one of our elders, John Hollenbach. Join us Friday from 7 to 8:30 PM and Saturday from 9 to 12. Come for both days or only one as your schedule permits. The Intentional Father by Jon Tyson will be available for purchase for $10. The cost for the event is $5. Register to attend.

Men's Evening Connect | Wednesdays beginning Sept.14 | 6:45 to 8:45 PM | Room 10

There are many things pulling for our attention. It’s hard to find time and make space for God and for Christian friendships. This is one of the reasons why Men’s Evening Connect was formed. Men of all ages can spend time together, hearing from each other, and learning what it means to be a man of God. This fall we will be using two books Experiencing God by Claude V. King and Unquestioned Answers by Dr. Jeff Myers. Books can be purchased at the first meeting. Contact Kent Bailey with any questions.

Saturday Men's Breakfast | 2nd Saturday of each month starting Oct. 8 | 8 to 9:30 AM | Core Cafe

Are you looking for a no pressure environment that includes breakfast? Every second Saturday (starting in October) all men are invited to enjoy a meal together, spend time in prayer, and simply be together. A $5 donation is requested. No registration is required.
