Membership | October 11 & 18 | 4 PM via Zoom
One potential next step you can take is with membership. A good way to think about membership is as a partnership. Partnership in the gospel, in the beliefs and values of a local body, and partnership in our mission to Live, Love, and Lead. Our next membership classes will be held via Zoom on October 11 and 18 at 4 PM. Learn about who we are as a church, what we value, what it means to be a member of Hershey Free Church, and how a commitment to a local body of believers can make a difference in your Christian journey. If you have recently attended our membership classes, fill out the application.
Whether this is your first Sunday, you have been with us a few months, or several years, we want you to find community and friendships. These last few months have made community look a bit different, but our values have not changed. We encourage everyone to be a part of a small group, which we call a Live/Love/Lead Group. These groups are typically 8 to 12 people who gather twice a month to encourage each other, build friendships, explore the Word of God, and do life together. Twice a year, we have a Starter Live/Love/Lead Night. At the Starter Group Night, you’ll have the opportunity to meet new people and try the small group experience. Our next Starter Group Night will be in the new year. Questions? Contact Deb Hinkel or Nik Schatz.
Alpha is a series of sessions that focuses on different questions around faith and is designed to create conversation. As a church, we know the importance of being together and building friendships. We also believe that one of the best ways you can learn about Christianity, explore some of life’s deep questions, and discover things about faith in Jesus is by being with other people asking questions. Alpha is an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your perspective in an honest and open environment. A new session of Alpha will begin in the spring. If you have any questions about faith, Christianity, or just need someone to talk to before Alpha begins, contact Dave Hyatt or phone 717-533-4848.
Our Women's Ministries connect opportunities are designed to not only teach but also encourage and equip the women of our church to move out into their communities and make an impact for Christ. We want all women to know that they are a part of a community of believers. We want to walk with you, challenge you, and support you as God moves in your life and heart.
The purpose of Men’s Connect is to equip men to be Christ-centered leaders at home, work, church, and in their communities. We seek to provide ways for men to grow in their faith. We hope to encourage husbands, fathers, and sons as they walk their journey of faith.
Men's Morning Connect is a small group format for discussion on a variety of topics. The small groups will meet on Tuesday mornings in local restaurants. The four locations are Palmyra, Hershey, Hummelstown, and Elizabethtown. Exact times will vary depending on the location. If you are interested in joining a group please email Nik Schatz to get connected.
Senior Adult Groups
Senior Adult Bible Fellowship meets the first Wednesday of each month at 10:45 AM in the auditorium. Stay afterward for lunch. The monthly Senior Adult Bible Fellowship offers an opportunity for fellowship around God's Word and through worship using some familiar hymns. We will not resume meeting until February 2021 at the earliest.
Senior Adult Strength Training, Band Together, is a group that uses stretch bands of various tensions to help those with limited mobility to regain and maintain strength and flexibility. Please note that anyone over age 70 will need to have their doctor’s clearance to participate. Strength training is held every week on Mondays and Thursdays from 11 AM to 12 PM in room 302.
